They offer a wide range of options for their customers to choose from, making it easy for them to customize their needs and budget. They also provide free professional water testing before suggesting any filtration system.

The company has been in business for more than 50 years and is still owned and operated by the McGowan family. They are dedicated to helping their customers live healthier lifestyles and providing them with access to clean water.

Their business has seen a lot of ups and downs over the years, but one thing that has remained consistent is their dedication to their customers. They are committed to serving their community and are always looking for ways to improve their company and expand their reach.

When it comes to ownership transitions, Tangley and McGowan both agree that the decision should be made with a clear end goal in mind and a clear financial picture. Their stories of successful and unsuccessful ownership transitions are a good reminder that it’s important to have a set plan in place before you decide to buy or sell a business.

Both of them were inducted into the Water Quality Association (WQA) Hall of Fame in 2016. They both share similar characteristics and values that have helped shape their business, but their transitions to leadership were very different.

As you can see, the leadership training they received had a major impact on their ability to transition from employee to owner. While McGowan was given little to no pressure from his parents to take over the company, he had a lot of ideas and wanted to bring them to fruition.

In fact, his dad told him to “put your money where your mouth is.” He went on to say, “I don’t regret it at all.”

The other key factor in McGowan’s success was the fact that he had a strong financial background. He had worked for the company from a young age and was well-versed in accounting and finance, which made his transition to owning and operating the company go smoothly.

In addition to owning and operating the family business, McGowan is also a licensed plumber. He is passionate about his work and has a strong desire to make sure the people of Minnesota have access to clean and safe water in order to live healthy lives. He is proud to continue the McGowan tradition and looks forward to helping southern Minnesota maintain access to clean and safe water.
