What Can They Filter
Carbon filters are able to filter contaminants through absorption.
These filters are very porous and are therefore able to trap particles such as sediment, chlorine, tastes, odors and volatile organic compounds. They do not filter out contaminates such as bacteria, minerals, salts, and dissolved inorganic substances.
When Are They Used
Many residences operating off of city water will install a carbon filter to remove bad tastes and odors such as chlorine. Others feel better having an extra filter paired with their other systems.
Replaceable Carbon Filters are often installed before UV systems to ensure the UV doesn’t get plugged up by any debris and will continue sanitizing, creating safe and healthy drinking water in your home.
In Need Of A Replaceable Filter?
Replaceable filters require little to no maintenance.
They should be changed out once every six months but might need changed out anywhere from once every 3 months to a year depending on your water.
We make it easy by keeping track of your filter changes and are more than happy to save you time, worry and frustration by changing them for you.
If you would rather change the filters yourself, we can still keep track of your filter changes by delivering the filter(s) to your door.
